This week Mack and I took a little one day trip to the desert. We are a little un-tradiational when it comes to date nights, don’t get me wrong I love dinner and a movie, but most of our date nights include live music in some way. We’re big time concert goers. So, we planned a little desert getaway to go to Pappy and Harriet’s to see one of our faves, Tyler Childers in Pioneertown. And oh what a show.. but I’ll get Mack to tell you more about that later in music.
Since Pioneertown is 2 and 1/2 hours from LA we needed a place to crash for the night.. Mack found this rad airstream on airbnb and it exceeded expectations. There might have been zero cell service but there were plenty of stars in the Desert sky.
Here are a ton of pics from our day getaway. I mean how cute is our little airstream?
Pioneertown is this tiny town outside of Joshua on the way to Palm Springs and Indio, where Stagecoach and Coachella are held. It’s actually an old movie set that houses Pappy and Harriet’s, the coolest little music venue with big acts. We spent our thursday night there watching 4 amazing bands.. don’t worry mack will tell you about all the great music he heard this weekend later.. (he actually went to stagecoach). Friday morning we got up and had coffee and breakfast at Frontier Cafe and then went and checked out Pioneertown in the daylight. Here are some pics.
